New Chapter Selling Out to Procter and Gamble

New Chapter sold to Procter and Gamble

We at Global Healing were sad to learn that New Chapter was recently bought by the global corporate conglomerate Procter and Gamble [1]. As a result, Global Healing will no longer carry New Chapter products. We cannot support a corporation we feel is detrimental to the environment and human health and we cannot be confident that the quality of New Chapter products will be maintained over the long-term.

As you may already know, Procter and Gamble sells a wide range of products that contain chemical fillers, petroleum derivatives, artificial fragrances, and known carcinogens. Some brands that P&G owns include Gillette, Duracell, Crest, IAMs dog food, Pantene, Tide laundry detergent, Pringles potato chips, Dawn dishwashing soap, and Bounce dryer sheets.

Procter and Gamble is also the corporation that first brought canola oil to the market. Initially it was under the name Puritan, but it later became Crisco. High omega-6 vegetable oils were promoted as being healthy, but we now know better as these oils have been connected to cardiovascular redness and irritation.

Procter and Gamble also has ties to Monsanto, the company producing genetically modified foods [2]. The top shareholders of both companies are Vanguard and State Street Corporation. Among P&G’s other owners are JP Morgan and Bank of America – those big banks who received trillions in bailout money at the expense of American taxpayers.

Additionally, when natural product lines such as New Chapter are purchased by major corporations, product formulas are often adjusted with lower quality ingredients to reduce costs, usually without informing consumers of the change.

As a result, we have made the decision to discontinue selling New Chapter products to our customers. We encourage our customers to support the safe and natural alternatives from companies with integrity and principles.

At Global Healing, we are committed to offering products that fulfill the mission of our company to help educate and heal the world and bring back good health, positive thinking, happiness, and love. You can rest assured that anything you buy on our site meets the highest standards.
