The Effects of Constipation

Effects of constipation can include bath breathe and stomach issues.

Digestive disorders are becoming more prevalent in other countries as westernized society spreads. Constipation is a serious health concern and, along with other digestive ailments, affects at least 1 out of 5 people in America.

Medically, constipation is defined as the passage of small amounts of hard, dry bowel movements, usually fewer than three times per week. The reality, however, is that if you are not having a minimum of 2 soft, easy to pass bowel movements daily then you are constipated and waste is accumulating in your system. Effects of constipation can include bad breath and skin eruptions.

Relieving Constipation

To relieve constipation, most doctors recommend laxatives. Commercials on TV reinforce their use in a hokey-jokey manner. Despite their commonplace acceptance, laxatives are drugs that can harm the digestive system. Then why are they sold? Maybe because laxative sales in the last four years exceeded $2.7 billion. They're big money.

Don't Ignore Constipation!

Often times, people accept the condition of constipation because it's long been the way that they function, but constipation can be just the precursor to other more destructive disorders.

Bad breath is also an indicator that you may be constipated. When toxic waste remains in your body, gasses rise up in the body, giving a person putrid odors in their mouths.

Skin eruptions can be caused or aggravated by colon toxicity. Skin is a major organ and one of its jobs is to help to eliminate waste usually through perspiration. The skin can't remove fecal matter when you're backed up, but it can show you that your body is trying to get rid of toxins.

Your body gives you indications when something is going wrong, take the hint!

Take Action Against Constipation

Constipation does not have to be your way of life! Exercise and physical activity can help move waste, additionally, it can tone the muscles around the bowel area.

Massaging the abdomen helps by facilitating movement in the abdominal area where fecal matter and gas may be trapped.

Colon cleansing with an oxygen-based colon cleanser can provide relief by removing impacted matter from the intestines and expelling it from the body. Oxy-Powder® is a gentle yet effective solution for a healthy digestive system. If the effects of constipation are there physically, don't ignore them.
